Nick Young and Iggy Azalea split: NBA star responds to ex fiancée's cheating allegations

Nick Young has finally opened up about his recent breakup from fiancée Iggy Azalea after the Team rapper accused the LA Lakers star of cheating. The NBA basketball player took to social media to admit he is not perfect but did not deny the accusations.

"If you perfect then be perfect," the 31-year-old athlete wrote on Twitter on Friday (1 July). "I live in a world where ppl f**k up learn from it and move on…" Young wrote. "That's life hate me or love me I'm still going to love life man," he added.

Young also went on Instagram to slam the rapper's accusations. Young sang a few lines from Drake's song Feel No Way to show his disapproval of the 26-year-old rapper's claims.

"I had to let go of us to show myself what I could do and that just didn't sit right with you… Now you're talking down on my name, on purpose," Young said in the video.

On Thursday (30 June), Azalea confirmed she was cheated on when she informed her 6 million plus followers that she had caught Young with other women in their home.

"I broke up with Nick because I found out he had brought other women into our home while I was away and caught them on the security footage," Azalea wrote on Twitter.

"This is just like a second shot to the chest. And I feel like I don't even know who the hell it is I've been loving all this time," she added. "People in this world really are f--ked up."

The former couple's relationship was rocked in March after Young was filmed allegedly confessing to having intimate relations with several women while still engaged to Azalea.

"Unfortunately although I love Nick and have tried and tried to rebuild my trust in him – it's become apparent in the last few weeks I am unable to," Azalea tweeted on 19 June, according to US Weekly. "I genuinely wish Nick the best. It's never easy to part ways with the person you planned your entire future with, but futures can be rewritten and as of today mine is a blank page."

The former couple split a year after getting engaged in June 2015.
