Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban at CMT Awards Red Carpet, Quashing Divorce Reports
Australian power couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban walked the red carpet together at the 2014 Country Music Television (CMT) Awards, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, putting to rest speculation that they were headed to divorce.
Kidman, who wore a Giambattista Valli white and blue floral strapless dress, came to support her husband who was nominated for four awards – Video of the Year for We Were Us with Miranda Lambert and Highway Don't Care with Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift, and Collaborative Video of the Year for both of those songs as well. However, he did not win any.
Rumours that the two are about to part ways started after The Grace of Monaco star arrived solo for the Cannes Film Festival to promote her film. Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise's former wife had also cancelled her appearance on BBC's Graham Norton Show.
"It's clear she didn't want to face questions about her marriage," a source told Daily Star.
"It seems she and Keith really are on shaky ground. Keith didn't appear to want to free up one day in his schedule to be with her in Cannes when she needed his support the most," the insider added.
Kidman and Keith, who will celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary on 25 June, have two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Faith was born in 2011 via surrogacy.
In an interview with the Australian magazine Women's Weekly, Kidman gushed about her family life with Urban.
"If it were the choice between my family and Keith, and my career, I wouldn't even bat an eyelid," she said. ''The most important things to me are the love of our relationship and my children.''
The Paperboy star also spoke about her two adopted children - Isabella and Connor from her previous marriage to Cruise.
"They are generous, kind and hardworking," she said. "And these are traits that I love to see in my children."
