Keith Urban may have rescued his wife Nicole Kidman from an awkward situation with the Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, but that does not save the couple from being subjected to split rumours. A report by Australian outlet Woman's Day recently made shocking claims that the pair's marriage is at a "make or break" point.

The news in the magazine's latest issue (via Daily Mail) suggested that Kidman and Urban have enrolled for a couple's retreat to save their 10-year marriage. In case the alleged private retreat worth $10,000 (£ 8106) does not help, the couple then plan to "consciously uncouple", the report claimed.

"Nicole and Keith have been battling problems for a long time now, and it's gotten to the point where it's make or break," a source told the magazine.

"Nicole has told friends they're giving their marriage three months and have decided to go their separate ways and consciously uncouple if they can't work through their problems," the source continued.

If rumours are to be believed, the supposed retreat will have the couple undertaking sessions managed by psychologists to get over their past issues.

The shocking report comes after the Lion actress's recent appearance at Jimmy Fallon's show, where she appeared to be cosy in the company of her singer husband. Not only did the country crooner serenade his wife, he also ended his impromptu performance by kissing her.

According to the Daily Mail report, the Somebody Like You singer has slammed similar split rumours earlier as well. "People make up the most insane crap, and we kind of just roll with it," he was quoted as saying.

"It does [annoy me], I want to live our life together, and the fact we live somewhere where we're not being photographed all the time - it makes it possible for people to make up that stuff because you're not always there to defend it," he added.

The couple tied the knot in 2006 and share two daughters – Sunday Rose, 8, and Faith, 5.
