Nigeria: 12 dead in oil pipeline explosion says Italy's ENI

An explosion at Nigeria's site of an oil pipeline in the Niger Delta has caused the death of 12 members of its maintenance crew with three others injured, Italian oil company ENI reported.
The blast took place at the site of the repair works of the Tebidaba-Clough Creek line, previously damaged by acts of sabotage.
"The causes of the incident are still under investigation by both ENI and the local authorities," the Italian multinational said. "The company expresses its deepest condolences to the families involved in this tragic accident."
