Confederations Cup 2013: Tahiti v Nigeria, Where to Watch Live, Preview and Team News
African champions Nigeria will take on Oceanian minnows Tahiti in the Confederations Cup Group B game in Belo Horizonte on Monday. Spain and Uruguay are the other two teams in their group.
Where to Watch Live
Kick-off is set for 8pm BST, with BBC Three providing live coverage in the UK.
Overview
Nigeria qualified for the tournament after winning the Africa Cup of Nations in February, beating Burkina Faso 1-0 in the finals. Tahiti, on the other hand, triumphed at the Oceania Football Confederation back in September to book their place in the competition. They defeated New Caledonia 1-0 in the final.
The Super Eagles enter this match as overwhelming favourites against the southern Pacific island-nation ranked 138 in the world. However, with the Africans troubled by injuries to key players and also the dispute between players and the football federation, Tahiti will hope to get something out of this game.
This is Nigeria's second appearance in this competition. They featured in the original version - the King Fahd Cup - back in 1995 and remain unbeaten in this tournament.
