Overview
Djokovic is currently the defending champion and he is just two wins away from winning the Wimbledon for the third time in his career. After having a scare against Kevin Anderson in the fourth round clash, he registered his fourth straight set victory of the tournament in the quarter-final.
The Serbian defeated Marin Cilic in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to seal a berth in the last four of the third Grand Slam event of this year. He will be looking for another straight set victory and make it to the final of the tournament on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Stan Wawrinka gave Gasquet a tough time during the quarter-final clash. The Frenchman won the opening set before Wawrinka went on to win the next two sets. The 29-year-old kept his hope alive of winning the match by sealing the fourth set.
The final set between Wawrinka and Gasquet ended with a score line of 11-9, which went in Gasquet's favour and helped him to seal the match as the final score was 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 6-4, 11-9.
