Overview
Djokovic and Nadal have faced each other 47 times in the past. The four-time BNP Paribas Open champion, Djokovic comes into the clash after edging past Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6, 7-6 in the quarter-finals on 18 March, Friday.
Djokovic holds a slight advantage over his opponent, winning his last five matches and will be looking to become the first player to lift five titles at Indian Wells. The Serbian is currently tied with Roger Federer with four Indian Wells titles.
Nadal showed glimpses of getting back to his destructive best during his 6-4, 6-3 win over Japan's Kei Nishikori. The three-time Paribas Open champion will be appearing in the 9th semi-final at Indian Wells Masters and is also eyeing his 100th career singles final. Victory here will give him his first title of the year.
