NVIDIA SHIELD tablet receives 2.2.1 hotfix update for colour reproduction issues
NVIDIA has rolled out a quick hotfix update (2.2.1) for its SHIELD tablet, following numerous user complaints about some colour reproduction issues with the 2.2 update that was released just a week ago.
Several NVIDIA SHIELD users have reportedly been complaining that some bright colours looked very dull or the reds were being muted after installing the 2.2 update, which was meant to enhance battery life during standby while also introducing several performance improvements.
Affected SHIELD tablet users can now feel relieved as the 2.2.1 hotfix update aims at rectifying the screen calibration issue, along with some improvements to Netflix experience.
At the moment, there are no further details about the exact tweaks or improvements added to Netflix experience in the 2.2.1 hotfix update.
Affected users can manually check for the hotfix update via device's Settings and install the same on the tablet.
Meanwhile, folks at Android Central have confirmed that the fix has worked for them and hence they are able to get noticeably brighter colours on the tablet after installing the hotfix.
