Official White House Snapchat misspells education
It included a picture of the "Secretary of Educatuon on Betsy DeVos".
The official White House Snapchat account allegedly misspelled 'education' in a post referring to education secretary BetsyDeVos at Sunday's (16 April) Easter Egg Roll.
A picture showing the 59-year-old reading to a score of children on the lawn of the White House was accompanied with the text, "Secretary of Educatuon on Betsy DeVos".
The alleged mistake was spotted by a number of eagle-eyed social media users who then uploaded the picture to Twitter before it was deleted. MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin was one of them.
The 2017 Easter Egg Roll was the first to be hosted by US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania. Mrs Trump read to children from a story book on the South Lawn, as is customary for first ladies.
President Trump's press Secretary Sean Spicer did not reprise his role as the White House Easter Bunny.
In March it emerged that, during the Bush years, Spicer – while working in the trade representative's office – had been the man inside the bunny costume at Easter events.
In a 2008 interview about the role, Spicer said: "I can't see too much, and the bunny does not talk, but every child is special on this day.
"Most children are so excited to see the bunny that they are on their best behavior. I really get a kick out of the ones that thank the bunny for their basket or a gift they got on Easter."
