London Fire Brigade has confirmed it is responding to reports of a fire at the London Olympic Stadium in Stratford.
Pictures of black smoke emeging from inside the £500 million state-of-the-art stadium have been posted on social media including Twitter and Facebook.
A spokeswoman for the London Fire Brigade said: "We were called at 7.03 to reports of a van on fire in the stadium. Security called us and there were no injuries."
The spokeswoman confirmed the fire had now been dealt with.
The stadium is currently undergoing restructuring ahead of its use as the home ground for West Ham football club including a new £41 million roof.
