One Direction baby: Louis Tomlinson confirms on Good Morning America that he will be a father
It has been one of the worst-kept secrets in showbiz but One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has finally confirmed the news that he is going to be a father, reportedly with close friend Briana Jungwirth.
During 1D's appearance on Good Morning America on 4 August, host Michael Strahan managed to tease the details out of the 23-year-old by congratulating him on the baby news.
Strahan asked: "Louis, from one father to another, I want to congratulate you on your upcoming fatherhood. So, how are you feeling?" Tomlinson replied: "Obviously it's a really exciting time, so I'm buzzing, thank you." Although there was no mention of the mother, it is believed the singer is expecting the baby with Los Angeles-based stylist Jungwirth.

The Drag Me Down singer's confirmation comes just a day after his bandmate Payne addressed the news publicly for the first time, telling Magic radio: "Well obviously I was a bit shocked but he's taken super well to it. And he's very excited with what's going on with him at the moment and I feel that stuff like that happens sometimes... he's taking it very seriously."
In an interview with The Sun, Tomlinson's record label boss Simon Cowell also revealed the advice he gave to the singer about becoming a first-time father. He told the publication: "I said to him: 'You man up.' You're fortunate because you're in a position to be able to look after the baby and not worry too much about that."
Both Tomlinson and Jungwirth's families are said to have taken the baby news well and are involved in the stylist's pregnancy, even reportedly attending the 23-year-old's ultrasound scan. As expected, Directioners have flooded Twitter with reactions to the news and have started the trends #CongratsLouis and #1DonGMA:
