One Direction Harry Styles 'I Didn't Dump' Caroline Flack

They have never openly confirmed their relationship but now One Direction's Harry Styles and Caroline Flack have called time on their controversial three-month romance.

The mismatched couple allegedly started dating in October last year after they shared a drunken kiss on a night out.

Despite facing a backlash from fans, because of their 15-year age gap, the pair continued their fun-filled fling.

During their relationship, they avoided being photographed together, and refused to reveal details of their romance.

The 17-year-old singer took to Twitter to confirm he had split with the 32-year-old Xtra Factor host but insisted that the split was a "mutual decision"

Young heartthrob Styles tweeted: "'Please know I didn't "dump" Caroline. This was a mutual decision. She is one of the kindest, sweetest people I know."

However, a source close to the singer told The Mirror that the breakup was due to Styles not wanting to be tied down.

The insider said: "He really likes Caroline and he doesn't want to hurt her. But he doesn't want to be tied down."
