One Direction's Harry Styles Takes Tube to Elton John Concert
Harry Styles surprised commuters when he took public transport to watch Elton John perform at the iTunes Festival.
The One Direction star, who is worth millions of pounds, snubbed the limo to rub shoulders with fans on the Tube on his way to watch the Rocket Man's set at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London.
Dressed in a white T-shirt, staple skinny jeans, a black coat and brown boots, he tried to blend in with the crowd on the Northern Line train by keeping busy on his phone.
The 19-year-old's efforts did not go unnoticed by elton John, who took a break during his show to give the curly-haired heartthrob a shoutout.
"Thanks to the fabulous Harry Styles," he cried from the stage.
When the unimpressed crowd erupted in a series of boos, John quickly came to Styles' defence saying: "I love One Direction. F**k off."
He then gestured to the audience: "And of course, my angel David (Furnish)."
Styles later posed for a snap with a delighted-looking John backstage.
In October 2012, Jay-Z surprised fans by taking the Brooklyn-bound subway to his final show at the Barclays Center.
