One Direction Star Harry Styles Makes 8-Year-Old Cancer Patient's Dreams Come True

Harry Styles has made an eight-year-old cancer patient's dreams come true after she asked to meet him.

Campbell Hoyt has been battling Ependymoma, brain and spine cancers. She was diagnosed with the disease when she was just three-years-old, in August 2009.

Cam's mother Robin had tweeted the message about her daughter's favourite pop star writing: "Miss Cam has asked for one thing for the last three years- to meet 1D, in particular Harry Styles. We've tried every way we have had available to us. Time is short. That would bring the biggest smile to her face."

The One Direction star first tweeted a message to the brave young girl on July 31 saying: "Campbell Hoyt, I am thinking of you and sending you all the love in the world. That's a lot of love."

Two days later the 20-year-old took time out of his schedule to visit her at her home in New Jersey.

Cam's mum said: "He was emphatic that he did not do this for publicity. He truly just wanted to meet Cam. I would not want anyone to get the wrong idea."
