He's Bad and Boujee: One Direction's Liam Payne teams up with Migos for solo album
LA-based rappers join the likes of Pharrell Williams and Juicy J.
If Liam Payne's list of collaborators is anything to go by, his solo debut album is going to be impressive. Hip hop group Migos have confirmed that they have teamed up with the One Direction star.
Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, ahead of their recent London show, rapper Quavo said: "I just came from [filming] a video today.
"My boy Liam from One Direction. Crazy vid. Crazy visuals. Crazy team. Cool guy... I wasn't even supposed to say that. It's gonna be a surprise though."
Although the 23-year-old had kept his collaboration with the LA-based trio under wraps, he did previously reveal that he was working with producer Pharrell Williams back in 2016. Sharing a snap of the pair in the studio on his Instagram he wrote: "Great few days with @pharrell pleasure working with you as always."
Payne, who is the only member of One Direction who is yet to release solo material, is also rumoured to have worked with rapper Juicy J.
He is in good company. The Bad And Boujee stars also recently worked with Calvin Harris, DJ Khalid and Sean Paul. Back In April, they featured on Katy Perry's delicious new single Bon Appetit.
Although fans have been waiting for new music since Payne signed with Capitol Records UK in July, he hasn't been sitting idle. He recently welcomed his first child with former X Factor judge Cheryl on 22 March.
According to multiple reports, the new parents have given their newborn an unusual name – Bear Payne.
Celebrating the birth of his son he penned a heartfelt message on Instagram which read: "My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow!" he wrote. "I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far."
