We have long been told that breast is best. And for Myleene Klass the rule applies even for hot beverages.

The 35-year-old model, singer and mother-of two has revealed that she takes her tea with breast milk.

According to Klass, her dad took a dash of it in his afternoon brew and she has proudly continued the family tradition.

Oscar Klass, an Australian senior officer in the Royal Navy, used some of his wife's breast milk in his tea.

"Come on, it's normal," she said during a recent interview about her role as ambassador for charity The Big IF London.

"I grew up knowing that he did that so it's not weird to me. I sound like a happy-clappy hippy. Oh well, now you know. We're that kind of family."

Klass, who is mum to daughters Ava, 5, and Hero, 2, also admitted offering her own milk to family and friends.

"I made everyone try mine. It tastes just like those probiotic yoghurt drinks. Sweet - not as sweet as condensed milk."

The former Hear'Say singer is currently taking part in The Big IF London charity campaign, which is calling for G8 leaders to tackle world hunger.

Despite her involvement in the cause, she admits that is she not a fan of politics.

"I could never be a politician. It's beyond dull. They just sit around and talk. It would be nice if they proved they could do something rather than playing up to the shoddy image we have of them," she said.

"We expect them to fiddle our taxes, fiddle their expenses and fiddle with their secretaries. Stop fiddling! Do something!"
