OnePlus 2 gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow via unofficial CyanogenMod 13
An unofficial build of CyanogenMod 13 is available for the OnePlus 2 smartphone. It brings Android Marshmallow experience for the handset prior to the official rollout which is scheduled in the first quarter of 2016.
While the official update is promised to include Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor along with other changes, the unofficial CM13 build also has a lot more to offer. The latest build of CM13 comes with working laser autofocus. Most of the features in the release work properly, except the fingerprint. The ROM is smoother than native Oxygen OS.
In addition, you will get a better camera experience. For those who have some love for the Hydrogen OS, the camera from the Chinese version of the ROM is ported into the CM13. Following are the detailed changes in the build.
Changelog
- RIL optimisations
- Wi-Fi config files updated
- Notification LED control improvement
- Location inaccuracies fixed
- Notification slider is fixed and is working now
- Gestures are working fine
To install the ROM, users are advised to have TWRP recovery installed and create a backup of all data of the phone.
