OnePlus 3: Specs leak shows pricing for the 64GB model with 6GB RAM set to be $384
Anticipating the release of Chinese handset maker OnePlus's upcoming device — the OnePlus 3 — there have been many leaks and tips with regards to specs of the smartphone. The latest set of leaks is by far the most detailed one, even revealing the price for its high-end 64GB model, which will be available for CN¥2499 ($384, £266).
After GizmoChina brought to us the pricing of the 32GB model a few days ago, the website believes that the post of popular user KJuma on Weibo, on the OnePlus 3 is the most detailed and believable specs leak prior to the release of the phone. Most of the features in the leak provided are what we have been talking about for the last few months.
As reported earlier, the smartphone will come in two variants — a 32GB variant, which will be priced for $310 and a 64GB variant at $384. While the 32GB variant will have 4GB RAM support, the 64GB variant will have a whopping 6GB RAM. Both will have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chip-set, the most popular processor among smartphone manufacturers for their flagship devices.
The display will also remain the same at a 5.5-inch panel with 1080p resolution. The rear camera will be a 16 megapixel one, while the front one will be an eight megapixel shooter. The battery capacity to support the phone will be at 3500mAh. As for the software, the device will run on Android 6.0-based Hydrogen OS 2.0.
While there has been no set release date announced by the company, co-founder Carl Pei had mentioned in February that the latest smartphone was expected to launch by the end of Q2 2016, indicating it could be launched in the June to July window.
