OnePlus One Receives XNPH33R OTA Update with Fixes: How to Install Manually
OnePlus has started rolling out a new over-the-air (OTA) update for its OnePlus One smartphone.
The new software adds build version CyanogenMod 11.0 XNPH33R, based on Android 4.4.4. It addresses a number of bug issues along with power consumption issue and brings security update. Below is the changelog for XNPH33R build.
Changes and improvements
- A new radio image
- Touchscreen fixes (addresses BACON-55, touchscreen sensitivity issue). But it is not complete, although the update fixed the deadzone or random touches issue which seems to prevent unlocking the phone. Additionally, the grounding issue is still present.
- Low power consumption in idle state (fixes BACON-599)
- Audio fixes
- CVE-2014-4943 and other security update
The OTA download links are now available for those who have not received the update notification yet. Users can download the file on their OnePlus One following the installation method via adb sideload, a similar process used for Nexus devices.
