OnePlus releasing Hydrogen OS on 28 May
Following its bitter spat with Cyanogen over the continuation of software (OS) releases in China and the rest of the world, OnePlus has finally announced the release of Hydrogen OS as the perfect substitute for Cyanogen OS in the Chinese market.
OnePlus has recently confirmed on its official blog that Hydrogen OS is will officially debut in Beijing on 28 May, with its focus on long battery life and performance.
The handset maker has clarified in the blog that Hydrogen OS will be unlike every other Chinese ROM and move away from the redundant flat-UI design of iOS to embrace Android 5.0 with Material Design makeover.
It is said that the Hydrogen OS will mimic the stock Android interface with all the basic tweaks and revamped UI in place. Besides, the company has reassured its fans that the new OS will be devoid of any bloatware and unwanted apps to provide a highly stable software experience.
The launch event for 28 May will be restricted to Chinese residents and open to those who have already obtained the invites.
