OnePlus X sales commence in Europe

OnePlus has started selling the new Onyx black glass variant of the OnePlus X smartphone in Europe at a suggested retail price of €269. As announced by the company earlier, the ceramic edition will be available with a ceramic-specific invite starting 24 November for €369. There will be only 10,000 units of ceramic models available.

Users in India and Hong Kong can also lay their hands on the new phone as the handset has been rolled out in those markets as well. For those in Europe and Hong Kong, the company has quoted the standard shipping time as 8-12 business days, whereas express shipping will take 7-10 days. Those in India ordering the device now will receive delivery of the product within 5-7 days.

The company said sales in North America will start on 19 November. Those who have already signed up for the reservation list will be the first ones to receive invites to buy the smartphone. However, the sales through invites are only for the first month, wherein the invites will be distributed in four categories such as contests & events, early supporters and loyal customers, reservation list and shareable invites.

Even if you have not claimed an invite, after the first month, the company promises to open sales every week. "After making sure that our production can keep up with the demand, the OnePlus X will be available without invites forever!" added OnePlus.
