More than 20 firefighters tackled a huge burning pile of rubbish which set alight in Bromley.
Four fire engines rushed to the scene at the Waste4Fuel site in Orpington, last night (8 January).
Around 900 tonnes of garbage went up in flames, in what residents claimed was the latest blaze at the site.
Machinery was also damaged during the fire at the dump in Crittalls Corner.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "The cause of the fire is under investigation."
