OS X Yosemite GM (Build 14A386a) Candidate 2.0 Rolls Out for Developer Testing
Apple has just rolled out the Golden Master (GM) Release Candidate 2.0 (Public Beta 5) version of OS X Yosemite for developer testing, alongside the iOS 8.1 beta 2.
The new Public Beta 5 version of Yosemite GM is now available for download via Mac App Store as well as through Apple's Mac Dev Center for Apple Authorised developers and iOS users with registered UDIDs.
The public version of the Yosemite operating system seems imminent, as the latest update marks the tenth and possibly the final developer beta version with new UI design and several other enhancements for Macs.
The fifth public beta iteration pushes the build number to 14A386a, which is widely believed to be a performance or bug-fix update over the previous GM release.
Furthermore, Apple is expected to launch OS X Yosemite on 16 October along with the grand unveiling of new Retina iMacs and iPads.
The OS X Yosemite GM Candidate 2.0 version is compatible with the following Mac devices.
- iMac (Mid 2007 or later)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- MacBook (Late2008 Aluminum or Early 2009 or newer)
- Mac Mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
