OS X Yosemite Gold Master Candidate 1.0 (Build 14A379a) Pushed out to Developers: Public Release Imminent
This could be the final version of OS X Yosemite
Apple has rolled out OS X Yosemite Gold Master (GM) Candidate 1.0 to developers for testing purpose.
Unveiled at Apple's WWDC event, the OS X Yosemite 10.10 is a powerful version of OS X redesigned and revamped with fresh and modern looks, having powerful new apps and the new continuity features to make the working experience across Mac and iOS device even more smoother.
Bearing a build number of 14A379a, the OS X Yosemite GM Candidate is a pre-release version, which can be downloaded from Mac App store via download code or, through Software Update. The Gold Master candidate adds the SMS Relay feature allowing users to send text messages from Mac, reports iPhone Hacks.
The latest build could be the final version of OS X Yosemite, before Apple rolls out the final version of the update, which is highly likely later this month. However, last year, the company released the second gold master version before the OS X Mavericks went for a public release.
The OS X Yosemite Developer Preview version supports the following Mac devices.
- iMac (Mid 2007 or later)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
- MacBook (Late2008 Aluminum or Early 2009 or newer)
- Mac Mini (Early 2009 or newer)
- MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
