Oscars 2014: The Best Dressed Hollywood A Listers
Lupito Nyong'o, Kate Hudson and Angelina Jolie Win the Fashion Awards
It was a night of pure glamour as Hollywood's brightest and most beautiful stars made their show stopping entrances at the 86th Academy Awards.
We pick out the best of the bunch as the A listers went head-to head in the sartorial stakes.
All eyes were on Lupito Nyong'o who has reigned supreme on the red carpets throughout awards season. Yet again, The 12 Years A Slave star didn't disappoint. Wearing a powder blue Prada dress, accessorised with a headband, Nyong'o was without a doubt, the belle of the ball.
Kate Hudson oozed Hollywood glamour and scorching sex appeal, in a white, beaded Atelier Versace gown. The delicate pleat design around the bodice made the most of the star's flawless figure, while the beaded jacket added a touch of sophistication. Leaving her hair in soft waves and with minimal jewellery, Hudson hit all the right notes and sparkled on the red carpet.
Few could have carried off the heavy beadwork on this stunning fawn coloured Ellie Saab dress, but it was a perfect fit on Jolie's hour glass frame. The star matched the dress with drop earrings and a flawless face. Subtle, chic and baring a hint of flesh through the sheer neckline, Jolie's inherent sex appeal was inescapable.
Amy Adams looked like a winner in this flawless, navy blue Gucci gown. Matching it with a stylish chignon and minimal make up, the star went for understated chic.
Jennifer Lawrence was one of the few stars who could pull off a bold tomato red on a night dominated by pastel hues. The star looked radiant in the figure skimming, strapless peplum dress, keeping her look modern with her cropped hair slicked back.
Harry Potter star Emma Watson looked all grown up in a shimmering metallic black Vera Wang gown. Simple, understated but striking, and with a splash of red lipstick and a hint of rock n'roll glamour, the British star made a bold impact on the red carpet.
