A Pakistani man hacked off his wife's legs with an axe following a domestic dispute, local media reports.
Muhammed Siddique was arguing with his second wife, Memoona Bibi, when he launched the brutal attack last night in the town of Shahpur in Punjab, it was reported.
Bibi is reported to have started torturing his wife only days after their marriage in March.
In Saturday's attack, he allegedly beat his wife with a stick before taking up an axe and severing her legs, according to the Online News Network in Pakistan.
Neighbours are said to have restrained Bibi, and handed him over to police. Siddiq was taken to hospital, where she is recovering.
