Pamplona Photos: Two Men Gored in Final 2014 San Fermin Festival Running of the Bulls
Two men were gored by a bull that broke away from the pack during the final running of the bulls at the San Fermin festival in Pamplona.
These photos show how the bull charged a runner wearing grey shorts, goring him in the leg and then chasing after him, trying to pin him against the barriers. The bull then turned his attention to another runner.
One of the injured runners has been identified as a 24-year-old Australian with the initials, JM. He was gored in the right thigh. The other runner is a 27-year-old Spaniard with the initials EGE. He suffered three horn wounds. Neither were in a serious condition. Five Spaniards were also hospitalised.
Fifteen people have died from gorings since record-keeping began in 1924.
