PSG are on a nine-match winning run in all competitions and come into this quarter-final first leg fixture having registered a 1-0 victory in their previous Ligue 1 fixture against Nice.

Laurent Blanc's side came away with all three points from Allianz Riviera, courtesy an own goal by Thimothee Kolodzieczak early in the second half.

The reigning Ligue 1 champions currently sit on top of the league table with 76 points from 31 matches, 13 points clear of second placed Monaco. The French capital outfit overcame Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the previous round of the Champions League with an aggregate score of 6-1.

Meanwhile, Chelsea suffered a dent in the race for the Premier League title after being handed a shock 1-0 defeat by Crystal Palace in their previous Premier League fixture last Saturday. An own goal from skipper John Terry was enough to ensure Jose Mourinho's side leave Selhurst Park empty handed.

Chelsea were leapfrogged by Liverpool as the league leaders after the Reds' 4-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. The west London club currently have two points less than the leaders and sit second having amassed 69 points from 32 matches.

Chelsea overcame Turkish outfit Galatasaray in the last-16 stage of the competition, registering a score of 3-1 over the two legs.
