#PatronisingBTlady: Best Tweets and Memes from 'Sexist' Anti-Scottish Independence Advert
The Better Together campaign against Scottish independence has come under fire for a video it has released to attract the support of undecided female voters, after it was branded "sexist" on social media.
In an advert called "The woman who made up her mind", an actor plays a Scottish woman weighing up the pros and cons of independence, with a cup of tea at hand, while her husband and children are out.
She eventually decides to vote no, after complaining that her husband talked about the referendum too much - and that there were "only so many hours in the day" to make a decision.
The ad played out on STV and BBC on Tuesday evening, launching the unfortunate hashtag #patronisingBTlady as viewers pondered whether the ad was actually a parody of a 1950s commercial.
Here are just a few of the best Twitter reactions and memes:
Good to see shades of the 1970s referendum in the new shockingly sexist Better Together radio ad

Honestly can't believe how disgustingly sexist and patronising that better together video is!

Hey @UK_Together, this sketch was just a joke, you weren't meant to make a whole advert from it! https://t.co/4eYI8TEcRt #PatronisingBTLady
