PC gaming E3 conference: PC Gamer event includes Blizzard, Square & Obsidian
At long last PC gaming is getting the platform it deserves at gaming's biggest industry event, with PC Gamer and AMD hosting the first PC Gaming Show on 16 June at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles.
Blizzard, Paradox Interactive, Obsidian Entertainment, Square Enix, Cloud Imperium and Dean Hall were among the attendees confirmed in PC Gamer's announcement, automatically making it an event to rival the regular conferences of console manufacturers Sony and Microsoft.
The timing of the event which takes place at 5pm PDT (1am in the early hours of 17 June in the UK) means it is very likely to clash with Sony's press conference, which usually takes place at the same time but the times of which have yet to be announced.
Global editor-in-chief at PC Gamer Tim Clark said: "We're living in a golden age of PC gaming, but unlike other platforms the PC has no format holder, no marketing department, and - until now - no event during E3 week purely devoted to it.
"We think a show like this, which brings together people from every corner of PC gaming to celebrate the exciting things happening, is long overdue. We hope you'll join us, in person or on stream, to be part of it."
The event will be live-streamed on Twitch and has an official website where you can find out more information.
