The new mother has revealed that she is expecting her second child.

Peaches Geldof is pregnant with her second child just six months after giving birth to son Astala.

The 23-year-old star, who is married to rocker Thomas Cohen, broke the news during a recent interview with Hello! Magazine.

Geldof, who is three months pregnant, admitted that she was shocked when she found out that there would be a new addition. She only realised she was expecting when she started to crave the same sour sweets she did during her first pregnancy.

"I did have a momentary panic and go, 'Oh my God, we're going to have a one-year-old and a one-month-old! How will we cope?" she told the magazine.

"Tom was so supportive and relaxed, it banished my doubts and I started imagining the two boys growing up together as the best of friends. There are massive benefits to having two children so close together."

The TV presenter and daughter of rock legend Bob Geldof said that she was thrilled about being a young mother: "I may be only 23 and the only one of our friends who's married, got a baby on the way and is on the verge of moving to Surrey, but it's a life I always dreamed of and I couldn't be happier."

The couple plan to call their son Phaedra, which comes from an ancient Greek play as well as being the title of one of their favourite songs.

However, the model admitted that they had no plans to have a third child once Phaedra has arrived.

"I don't think I'll be adding to our little brood until later on in my life when I'm older and don't have two toddlers running around demanding all of Tom's and my attention."
