Peckham murder victim Ola Raji was shot and stabbed to death
A young man who was shot and stabbed to death in a south London council estate has been named by police as Ola Raji.
Raji, 20, was gunned down in East Surrey Grove, Peckham, on 21 April.
He was shot once in the chest and knifed with a blade, while riding a bike. He died of his injuries, said the Metropolitan Police.
Officers suspect two attackers ambushed Raji and that he was robbed of some belongings. They have appealed to the public for information.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and remains in custody.
Det Ch Insp Will Reynolds said: "I would like to urge local people and anyone visiting the estate at the time of the murder to think about where they were and what they saw. It is essential that we piece together his movements that evening and understand why he was in East Surrey Grove at that time.
"We believe that after being shot Ola may have had some property stolen from him. It is likely that he was wearing a small pouch or bag under his body warmer. This has not yet been found."
