Peri romantic: Coleen and Wayne Rooney rekindle love over a Nando's dinner

Wayne Rooney may have finally emerged from the doghouse as he was spotted with his wife Coleen in Nando's for a date night.

The couple – who are said to have had numerous crisis talks since Wayne's drink-driving scandal in September – weren't alone on their public outing, however, and were joined by their three sons.

They waited for their peri-peri chicken dishes near the counter with the children Kai, Klay and Kit. Coleen, who is pregnant with the couple's fourth child, appeared to be standing up while waiting for the food, while a somewhat downcast Wayne sat down on leather bench.

The pair wrapped up in black puffer coats for the chilly night in the blurry snap posted on Twitter by an eagle-eyed customer. The individual tweeted: "In Didsbury, even Wayne Rooney has to wait for his @NandosUK".

Wayne, 32, sported khaki trousers and white Nike trainers, while Coleen, 31, wore a pair of skinny jeans and wedge sneakers.

The devoted parents appear to be mending their nine-year marriage following Everton Striker Wayne's slip-up earlier this year when he was caught driving party girl Laura Simpson home in her car after a night out in Cheshire.

Rooney was subsequently banned from driving for two years after pleading guilty to a charge of drink-driving. He was also sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order.

The Rooneys have led separate lives since the scandal, with a furious Coleen ditching her £500,000 weddings rings and telling friends she was struggling to forgive her husband.

A source told The Sun: "Every marriage has their ups and downs – and the Rooneys have certainly had more than their fair share.

"Whether it's a food craving from pregnant Coleen or just a treat for their kids, a cheeky Nando's could be a sign that things are moving in the right direction for Wayne.

"Although he shouldn't count his chickens just yet as Coleen is still reluctant to put her rings back on," they added.

There seems to be hope for the couple following the Nando's sighting and a few social media posts from Coleen including Wayne, such as the celebratory tweet for son Kai's 8<sup>th birthday featuring a montage of family pictures.
