Reeva Steenkamp was a South African model and the girlfriend of Olympic and Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius. On Valentine's Day 2013, the 29-year-old was shot and killed at home by the athlete.
Steenkamp was born in Cape Town and moved to Port Elizabeth as a child. She completed a law degree before being scouted as a model. She appeared in a variety of adverts and was a presenter on Fashion TV. Two days after she died, a reality show that she had filmed in Jamaica began airing as scheduled in South Africa.
She had been romantically involved with Pistorius since November 2012.
