'Please stay on TV': Duck Dynasty fans react on Twitter after show airs final episode
Duck Dynasty comes to an end after running for 11 seasons.
The Robertson family said goodbye to fans with Duck Dynasty airing its finale episode on 5 April. Loyal viewers of the A&E unscripted series took to Twitter to share their emotions about the show signing off after 11 seasons.
One fan wrote, "Y'all signed off with me crying xD Please stay on TV! Too hard to say goodbye." Another user tweeted, "I really hate to see #DuckDynasty come to an end. The Robertsons have become kinda like family."
One user even shared a GIF of Sadness crying from the Inside Out movie, and said, "#DuckDynasty can't believe its over my favorite group of people and si". Another fan thanked the Robertson family for all the laughter and tears and wrote, "Thank you Robertson family. You brought us love, laughter, tears, faith, family & ducks. Simply put, you BLESSED us greatly. #DuckDynasty"
"I'm gonna miss Duck Dynasty, every human on earth that can breathe needs to watch/learn from this show! Thank you Robertsons! #DuckDynasty" wrote another user.
The show, which premiered in March 2012, portrays the lives of the Robertson family, who are successful at their family-operated business, Duck Commander. The West Monroe, Louisiana business makes products for duck hunters, primarily a duck call called Duck Commander. The Robertson men — brothers Phil and Si, and Phil's sons Jase, Willie, and Jep — are known for their long beards and Christian views.
The network announced in November that the show's 11th season would be its last, with Jase Robertson saying at the time, "After five years, we've decided as a family for this to be the final chapter of the Duck Dynasty series."
