Rihanna Flees Five-Star Corinthia Hotel Fire to Wander Streets of London
Pop superstar Rihanna was forced to walk the streets of London in the early hours after fleeing a fire at her top London hotel.
According to reports, the 24-year-old singer was among 300 guests at the five-star Corinthia Hotel, where rooms start at £280 a night, forced out of bed after a fire broke out in a lift shaft.
While firefighters tackled the blaze, RiRi wandered the streets around Whitehall Place, near Charing Cross in the West End.
The We Found Love hitmaker told her followers on Twitter: "Roamin da streets since 6am." She posted a snap of a fire engine with the caption "Fyah in da telly."
She later posted a picture of herself wearing dark sunglasses and a grey hoodie in the back of a London black cab telling fans where she been.
The London Fire Brigade confirmed that the fire caused a small amount of damage to a lift on the 7th floor of the hotel but there were no injuries.
Rihanna was in London after headlining the Hackney Weekender on 24 June.
