Poundland recalls brightly coloured Halloween wigs over flammability risk
The retailer's Halloween and Celebrating wigs don't meet the 'Toy Safety flammability standard'.
Poundland is recalling its Halloween wigs and colourful clip in hair pieces because they pose an explosion risk.
The popular budget retailer is warning customers if they have bought one of these products since the summer to return it to their nearest store for a full refund.
In a statement it said these Halloween and Celebrating wigs don't meet the 'Toy Safety flammability standard'.
It said: "The Halloween wigs affected have been on sale since August 2016 and the Celebrations dress up wigs have been on sale since March 2015 at Poundland stores, Poundland Online and Dealz stores.
"As a responsible retailer we take the testing and the standard of our products very seriously and remain committed to the highest levels of product quality and safety which is why we are taking this precautionary measure."
