Pregnant Nikki Reed gushes over husband Ian Somerhalder: 'He's the sweetest man'

NikkiReed and husband Ian Somerhalder are possibly one of the sweetest couples in Hollywood and they never miss an opportunity to admire each other in public. The couple is expecting their first child and according to the actress, she has the 'sweetest' husband in the world who takes very good care of her when it comes to cooking.

"I normally love to cook, but since I've been pregnant I've lost interest. So all day I'm like, 'Hey, what are we eating?' Luckily, Ian's a closet chef, and he's also the sweetest man. When I told him I felt bad about always asking for food, he said, 'Being able to do this for you is my favourite thing in the world,'" the 29-year-old Twilight actress told Fit Pregnancy while gushing about her husband.

Reed also reveals that the Vampire Diaries star loves her pregnant belly and "jokes that he wants to keep me pregnant forever". However, the actress admits she is bound to pause her favourite outdoor activities due to her pregnant belly.

She says: "I'm a very driven person with lots of energy. I can run multiple companies, read four books at once, and take a conference call while cooking dinner. But pregnant, I'm a better version of myself. I'm really chill and relaxed, which I think is the greatest blessing."

The couple got married in April 2015 and is eagerly awaiting their baby's arrival. However, they don't want to feel the pressure of updating the world about the baby. "We'll take the baby's first month for ourselves. After the baby arrives, we're doing one month of silence. Just the three of us, no visitors, and we're turning off our phones too, so there's no expectation for us to communicate," Reed explains.

The soon-to-be parents are keeping their family update minimal and have not revealed the gender of the baby or the actress' due date. The former Sleepy Hollow actress has appeared on the cover of the latest issue of Fit Pregnancy. In an adorable Instagram post she thanked the magazine. "Thank you @fitpregnancy for such a sweet cover shoot and for allowing me to feel so comfortable talking about some of the most intimate and exciting moments of my life. And of course, thank you for including @bayouwithlove and encouraging a discussion on sustainable fashion and the positive impact that has had on my journey to becoming a mama," she captioned the cover page of the magazine.
