Prince Harry watches England rugby game without Meghan Markle
Harry reportedly aware that everyone wants a picture of them together.
There was heightened expectation today Prince Harry would be watching England rugby match alongside his new girlfriend Meghan Markle. But instead the Prince was pictured watching alongside Princess Charlene of Monaco.
Harry and Meghan were reportedly going to be seen out in public for the first time after The Sun quoted a RFU source saying: "All we've been told is that Meghan is coming, and to make a seat available for her if she wants it," adding that "Harry is well aware that everyone wants a picture of them together."
We wait with bated breath until the next time. The Suits actress recently took time off from filming her popular US legal series, telling producers she had to "do something important".
Despite the recent media furore surrounding her relationship with the prince, she was pictured on Friday (11 November) shopping alone at the organic Whole Foods store on Kensington High Street, dressed in Hunter wellies and a baseball cap. Then, bizarrely, she was captured trying to enter Kensington Palace at the front gates.
Markle is said to be staying with the Prince at his home, Nottingham Cottage, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge used to live, in the grounds of the palace.
Kensington Palace released an statement this week on behalf of Prince Harry, complaining that "a line has been crossed" by the media in the manner in which it is treating his girlfriend and her family. Meghan's home in Toronto was broken into by a freelance photographer, which reportedly left her "totally shaken up", a source told US Weekly.
The statement said: "His girlfriend, Meghan Markle , has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment. Some of this has been very public, the smear on the front page of a national news, paper, the racial undertones of comment pieces, and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.
"Prince Harry is worried about Ms Markle's safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. He knows commentators will say this is 'the price she has to pay' and that 'this is all part of the game'. He strongly disagrees. This is not a game... it is her life and his."
It is reported that Harry will introduce Markle to the rest of the Royal Family over the weekend.
