Princess Charlene Cheers up Children at Christmas Tree Ceremony in Monaco [PHOTOS]
Princess Charlene of Monaco attended to children at the Monaco Palace during the traditional Christmas tree ceremony, cheering them up with gifts and leading the celebrations.
The Christmas tree ceremony is celebrated every year by the Monaco royal family as part of Christmas holiday season in Monaco.
A Christmas tree was decorated for children and they were treated to gifts by the princess as well as a Santa Claus.
The 35-year-old Princess Charlene, who was accompanied by her husband Prince Albert II, endeared herself to the children with her warmth and an all-smile face.
The former South African swimmer looked graceful at the event that took place in the courtyard of the Prince's palace.
Charlene, a commoner who turned princess after marrying Prince Albert II in July 2011, wore a long red check skirt with buckles at one side. She teamed her high-waist pleated skirt with figure-hugging black top and completed her ensemble with a short black blazer and leather shoes.
Princess Charlene looked elegant as she donned red lipstick matching with the skirt. Her cropped, pixie hairdo gave her outfit a smart and sophisticated look.
Prince Albert II kept his dress themed around Christmas in a navy suit and tie featuring prints of Christmas stars, Santa, snowflakes, reindeer and sleigh.
The royal couple also visited Princess Grace Hospital as part of the Christmas holiday season. There, they presented gifts at the gerontology service, bringing cheer to the patients.
