PS4: Dual Shock 4 Controller Gets Heavy Duty Rechargeable Power Pack For Double Battery Life

If you are one of the many people who aren't happy with the PS4's DualShock 4 controller's battery life, then Nyko has a solution for you. The company has released a snap-on rechargeable 'Power Pak' battery to offer improved battery life.

The battery pack from Nyko connects through the controller's micro USB port and goes on to double the standard battery capacity of your favorite console controller.

While it does add a lot of extra battery life, some of you might wonder if the addition of the pack will make your controller heavier. Nyko has addressed these concerns and has confirmed that it won't hamper controller dynamics. "It's lightweight and does not impede gameplay or ergonomics, enabling users to extend their gaming sessions," a Nyko rep promises.

Not only does the Power Pak add extra power while the controller is in use, but it also happens to be compatible with Nyko's Charge Base. For the uninitiated, the base is a dock that can hold and charge two PS4 controllers when they aren't in use.

Apart from the PS4, Nyko makes similar products for a few other consoles. One of the most notable products happens to be the company's Power Pak and Charge Base for the 3DS, which is recommended to users of the console.
