Quantico Season 2 return date: Will Alex join CIA after leaving FBI?
ABC is yet to announce a premiere date for Quantico season 2.
Priyanka Chopra's Quantico season 2 will premiere in autumn this year and fans are expecting another thrilling adventure ahead for Alex Parrish. In the first season, she was framed for a deadly terror attack and it took 22 episodes and multiple major character deaths for the FBI agent to prove her innocence.
By the end of the season fans learnt that it was Liam who framed Alex but his wish was not just limited to destroying agent Parrish. In fact, he wanted to wreck the FBI as well by detonating a nuclear bomb. But thanks to Simon's self-sacrifice, he takes the bomb away before it detonates saving thousands of lives.
Executive producer Josh Safran has hinted at a bigger and more rooted season 2. "The event in season 2 is probably even bigger than season 1 on some level. But while it is bigger, it's also more contained. It allows us to feel more rooted every time we travel from one timeline to another. Again, if season 1 was sort of The Fugitive, season 2 has another blockbuster in mind. If I said it, it'll be very clear what we're doing, and I can't do that," he told Entertainment Weekly.
In the final scene of season 1, a man called Matthew Keyes offers Alex a position in the CIA and it appears she will embark on another cat and mouse game if she accepts the offer. Safran has previously teased "a surprising twist at the end of Act 1" of the upcoming premiere episode. (Via TV Line)
"We're very interested in the fact that the FBI's so much about being honest, truthful and living up to your badge and the CIA is the opposite. You succeed if you can deceive. So it's going to be interesting to see. It's like a funhouse mirror of what we've seen."
