Pretty in Turquoise: The Queen Stands Out in a Sea of Orange as She Opens Reading Station
Wearing bright turquoise, the Queen posed for a photo with construction workers wearing high-vis orange overalls as she opened the refurbished Reading Station.
The Queen arrived at the station on a scheduled First Great Western train from Paddington.
She was shown around the station, which has undergone a £897m redevelopment, by Richard Parry-Jones, chairman of Network Rail.
This is the second time the Queen has opened Reading Station – she unveiled a £20m redevelopment in April 1989.
