Overview
Nadal progressed into the quarterfinal of the Monte-Carlo Masters with a victory against Andres Seppi in the third round.
The 27-year-old Spaniard registered a comfortable victory, 6-1, 6-3, against the Italian on Thursday.
Nadal, who has previously won the competition eight times in Monte-Carlo, is gunning to qualify into his 10<sup>th straight final here and must overcome his fellow Spaniard in the process.
Ferrer progressed into the last-eight after beating World No 14, Grigor Dimitrov in the previous round. The 32-year-old Spaniard needed 96 minutes to defeat the Bulgarian, 6-4, 6-2 on Thursday.
The winner of this clash will face the winner between World No 3, Stanislas Wawrinka and World No 10, Milos Raonic in the semi-final on Saturday.

Nadal holds a staggering lead of 21-5 over Ferrer in overall meetings. The pair have clashed five times in Grand Slam events and Nadal holds a 3-2 lead over his compatriot.
