Real Housewives Of Atlanta: Amiyah Scott to replace Nene Leakes in season 8
Real Housewives Of Atlanta season 8 will have its first transgender cast member to fill the void left by NeNe Leakes.
According to TMZ, Amiyah Scott will join the cast next season. Scott is a model who was born as Arthur Scott and began her transformation when she was 17. She was born in Manhattan, raised in New Orleans.
The model has a Twitter following of 156,000 and an Instagram network of more than 680,000 followers.
Previously Sheree Whitfield and Marlo Hampton were spotted filming for RHOA season 8.
The new season of RHOA has kicked off filming after NeNe Leakes' abrupt departure. Reports from sources close to production said that Sheree has finalised her Bravo contract and is returning as a full-time Housewife in season 8.
TMZ also confirmed that Hampton will star in the show, but only as a 'friend' and will make an "occasional appearance."
NeNe Leakes told People that she is leaving the show because she wants to focus her energy on her new role in ABC's revival of the game show To Tell The Truth and other projects.
"I'm actually going to be doing a new primetime television show with a big legend," NeNe said. "All of my fans will get to see me be really happy, witty and funny and tell all of those one liners that I always have said on Housewives."
Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore will return for the upcoming instalment of the reality TV series.
