Real Housewives Of Atlanta cast and filming: NeNe Leakes, Kenya Moore and Kandi Burruss confirmed for season 8?
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta recently wrapped up its 7th season, and casting rumours for its next season are in full swing.
According to reports, only three housewives are confirmed for season 8. Which brings us to the question, who will reportedly return to the series, and who has allegedly been axed?
Lalate News reported, "NeNe Leakes, Kenya and Kandi are confirmed for ['Real Housewives of Atlanta' season eight]."
The website also claimed, "Sheree [Whitfield] is not joining RHOA, [and] producers are likely to give NeNe Leakes two to three full housewife allies on the show, to even out the balances."
Does that mean, Claudia Jordan and Porsha Williams are getting axed? There is no official statement made by Bravo yet.
Previously Ok Magazine had reported that original cast member Leakes had threatened to quit the series.
Leakes said that Bravo will have to make some major changes to the show's current lineup, if they want her in RHOA season 8.
"I would be happy to come back if we could find the right girls," Leakes explained. "If the show stays this way, I can't see myself doing it...who wants to work in a stressful environment?"
Filming updates
Lalate also reported that Teresa Giudice's jail time has had an impact on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, since production on The Real Housewives Of New Jersey, which also airs on Sundays, has been on hold.
"Sundays on Bravo are anchored for the last eight years by RHOA and RHONJ. RHONJ typically runs April to October. But with no RHONJ yet, Bravo is rushing RHOA back into production sooner, starting next month," the site explained.
"There is a fear that nothing will anchor Sunday well until RHOA is back ready to air, with the exception of Nene, Kim and Kandi's spinoffs. In short, RHOA generally airs in October. But don't be surprised if Bravo gets it back on air several months earlier," the site explained.
