RHOA star Kim Zolciak slammed for gifting pit bull to 5-year-old son after dog attack

Kim Zolciak has been slammed for giving a puppy to her son months after he was attacked by a dog. The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star gifted a pit bull to Kash on his fifth birthday.

The reality star shared adorable photos of her child cuddling the dog in the backseat of a car on social media on Tuesday (15 August).

"My heart is going to explode," the 39-year-old wrote alongside the image she shared with her fans on Snapchat.

Another photo shows Zolciak's husband Kroy Biermann holding their new family member close to his chest as the puppy gives the most adorable look at the camera. "I die," Biermann wrote followed by emojis.

The next snap shows Biermann kissing the dog, with the puppy lying on his chest.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, some fans aren't pleased with Zolciak giving her son a dog just months after he was severely injured in a dog attack.

Zolciak has been blasted for her parenting skills, with some fans calling her insensitive to present her son a dog on his birthday. However, there were others who defended her, saying that she has previously shared photos of Kash playing with dogs since the attack.

Kash started kindergarten earlier this week and Zolciak shared her thoughts on her son going to school on Instagram on Monday.

"My nugget Kash is a bit more sensitive and shy. There is something about boys that just gets me," Zolciak wrote alongside a snap.

She continued, "THANK YOU for all of your sweet comments through all my tears last night I didn't feel as crazy knowing so many of you are going through the same. Love all of you have a fantastic day and I'll let you know if I hop in my car and go pick him up."
