Rihanna feels 'happy and secure' with Drake after rapper's confession of love for the songstress at VMAs
The rapper stunned the world when he admitted he had been in love with RiRi since he was 22.
The bond between Rihanna and Drake is getting stronger after the One Dance hit-maker declared his love for the songstress in front of a star-studded crowd at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), which was held at the Madison Sqaure Garden on 28 August. And, after the announcement the Umbrella hit-maker is apparently feeling "happy & secure" with the rapper.
"Drake's public proclamation for his love for Rihanna really changed things between them. Their relationship is stronger than ever and they really are in love. For the first time since they started hooking up, Rihanna now feels confident and secure with Drake," a source told HollywoodLife.
"She feels like the stage at the VMA's was better than any post Drake could have put up on social media. She is happy now that they whole world knows, from Drake's own mouth, how he really feels about her," the source added.
The 29-year-old rapper stunned the world when he confessed he had been in love with RiRi since he was 22 years old while presenting the songstress with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the event.
"We love the videos, which change their artistic vision from year to year. But most of all, we love the woman who hasn't changed since day one. She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22-years-old. She's one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I've looked up to her even though she's younger than me," Drake said.
The pair for almost a decade kept their fans guessing about their relationship status. But a source has told Entertainment Tonight that the two are "dating" but no one knows when the pair made it "official".
"They are fully dating. No one really knows how long they have been 'official' -- they just decided to let it become a thing instead of hiding it from everyone. They're happy," a source told the celebrity news website.
