Rihanna Poses With Fashion Legends Iman and Naomi Campbell for W Magazine
In one of her most iconic fashion moments yet, Rihanna has teamed up with supermodels Naomi Campbell, 44, and Iman, 59, in a photoshoot for W magazine.
The superstar graces the cover of the magazine and inside she poses next to the two fashion legends, who helped to open the doors for black models to walk the catwalk and appear in Vogue and other mainstream fashion publications.
The trio came together for a story celebrating fashion brand Balmain's 28-year-old creative director, Olivier Rousteing, who says the three embody his style.
The pictures, taken by photographer Emma Summerton, show the supermodels and pop-star wearing pieces from Balmain's Fall 2014 collection.
In one shot, Cambell and Ri Ri are styled in revealing rope style tops while Iman has on a Zebra print jacket. All three wear big bamboo hoop earings and chunky necklaces.
In another, the trio wear colourful sweaters teamed with black and white skirts as Rousteing sits on the floor.
"These women are inspiring to so many different people," he said. "Bringing them together represents the concept I'm working toward."
Rihanna also tweeted about the photos, saying, '3 Bad Balmain B*****s', along with four hashtags - #blackbeauty, #threegenerations, #legends and #Balmain - and W Magazine's fashion and style director's handle, @edward_enninful.
Iman also posted one of the pictures twice on her Instagram account, captioning the first one "iconic, legendary, black beauties". In the second, she said "I love u [sic] more, olivier_rousteing" before thanking W Magazine for "this epic gathering of fabness."
The Diamonds singer also featured in a solo spread titled "Eskimo Horror Story" featuring dark, dramatic make-up and fur.
The issue is now on newsstands.
