Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna set for 'baby' spin-off TV series
The latest Kardashian to have its own show isn't even born yet, as it was confirmed that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's forthcoming arrival will be the subject of a new reality series. The pair, who announced they were engaged to be married after a whirlwind romance, recently revealed that they are also expecting their first child together.
The 28-year-old went public with her baby news on 6 May via Instagram, captioning an image of an emoji of herself with a baby bump.
While Rob initially denied he would be developing his own spin-off series, the couple is now set to share their journey to becoming parents with the viewing audience. The six episode series will culminate in the birth of their baby.
Rob had earlier quit Keeping Up with the Kardashians after attributing his life under the glare of the public spotlight to his recent problems. The sock entrepreneur reportedly suffered bouts of depression as he struggled with health conditions related to weight gain. However, since his relationship with Chyna, he has managed to turn his life around.
While producers at the E! network are keen to develop the series with Rob and his future wife, they are said to be wary that he might bail out of the project, Mail Online reports. In a bid to demonstrate his commitment to the new series Rob has been seen on the new series of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, despite his recent feuds with his sisters.
The friction between the family and Chyna was complicated by the fact that Kylie Jenner was dating Chyna's ex Tyga, with whom she has a child named King Cairo. However, since Kylie and Tyga announced their split, the future sisters-in-law have been seen bonding.
According to TMZ, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian have also been offered a seven-figure deal for the first pictures of their baby. Meanwhile, the new arrival is evidently destined for a life in the spotlight much like his or her famous family. The 28-year-old mum-to-be shared the baby's latest sonogram as she gushed about her fiancé.
"For a long time I felt like King was going to be an only child. That he was my greatest blessing and we were gonna live happily ever after together Just the 2 of us, I was no longer looking for love because I thought I had all that I needed. We needed," the excited mom-to-be wrote.
"But look at God ! Here I am engaged to be married to one of the greatest men I know who loves King & I unconditionally AND having another bundle of joy! I just want to say Never give up & ALWAYS have faith because fairytales do come true #LookAtOurLittleNugget #KingsGoingToBeABigBrother (sic)."
And while she may have had her misapprehensions about Chyna at the outset, Kim Kardashian West credits the former stripper for helping her brother rebuild his life and believes he will be "the best Dad" Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 35-year-old said: "'I mean, it's so exciting. It's a really exciting time for him. I think he'll be the best dad."
